What Is A Vision?

A vision is your desired future.

It answers:

"Where am I trying to go?"

Without vision:

• Motivation fades
• Discipline weakens
• Progress becomes random

Vision Exercise

Imagine it is 5 years from today.

Answer:

1. What rugby level am I playing?
2. What does my weekly schedule look like?
3. What type of athlete have I become?
4. What academic achievements have I earned?
5. How do coaches describe me?
6. How do teammates describe me?
7. What opportunities have I created?

Writing Your Vision Statement

Example:

I am a disciplined, respected and high-performing rugby player competing at university level while achieving academic success and becoming a positive leader within my team and community.
